Within Nigeria, retail boutiques that stock Nigerian designers is still a relatively new concept, pioneered by the likes of Leila Fowler.<span id="more-667"></span></p>
<p>In the meantime, what is a designer (jewelry or fashion) to do? The country held its annual trade fair in Johnannesburg, South Africa on September 2nd-4th, 2009.  Thirty four import and export companies from Latin America participated from various sectors which included beverage, food, clothing, footwear, furniture, cosmetics. The fair which included seminars and meetings attracted buyers from Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda, Mauritius, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa. </p>
