This is to inform you that Ladybrille Nigeria is now merged with our primary parent site and company, Ladybrille Magazine. Our goal in establishing Ladybrille Nigeria was to focus on amplifying the works of Nigerian designers and helping to move the dialogue from fashion as merely an entertainment and cultural experience to fashion as a business in  Nigeria. In the last three years, since launching the site, we have seen and continue to see the vision we hoped for Nigeria’s fashion industry in launching our sister site LadybrilleNigeria.com, come to fruition.

LadybrilleNigeria.com itself has flourished and been a part of this shift. We, however, in studying, researching and looking at the market and business trends believe that this platform should be consolidated with Ladybrille Magazine to better aid Nigerian designers who seek to have their work seen and purchased by American consumers. Accordingly, we will no longer publish on this platform but will instead publish the same kind of content we give you on our Ladybrille magazine platform. What this means is as follows:

1. All articles on LadybrilleNigeria.com can also be found on Ladybrillemag.com. You will still be able to access articles here on this platform if searching via Google.

2. LadybrilleNigeria.com url has now been forwarded to Ladybrillemag.com.

3. Ladybrillemag.com has  a tab dedicated solely to Nigeria so we continue to offer you content unique to Nigeria.

4. All stories published on Ladybrille Magazine which includes content unique to Nigeria, will continue to be syndicated to all of our social media sites including Ladybrille Nigeria social media sites.

5. Nigerian companies and designers seeking to have their products and services in front of America’s influential decision makers in the fashion and entertainment industry will now have the opportunity to do so.

Shot on location in the beautiful garden city of Port-Harcourt, the music video continues in the same vein as the single and aims to motivate the viewer and get you all pumped up for 2013! Featuring fight scenes that are reminiscent of the classic Brad Pitt movie Fight Club as well as an energetic performance from Ufoma accompanied by her electrifying live band, this music video is just what you need to get you up and going through the final few days of 2012 and roaring well into 2013!

The song itself – one of resolve and resilience, calling out to its listeners not to give up on their dreams and to win against all odds – is a great showcase of Ufoma’s vocal dexterities and song writing abilities as well as beautifully laced with catchy keyboard arrangements, heavy guitar strings and lush drum kicks which give the song a very distinct Pop-Rock feel upon which Ufoma shines brilliantly.

As with the audio release a year ago which garnered support from online and radio tastemakers alike, fans, critics and listeners of good music across Africa should find some appreciation in this new visual experience from Ufoma. The video simply tells a tale of a young upcoming star who thinks he’s ready for fame and fortune only to meet disappointment everywhere he turns. He then has his shot at fame and eventually succeeds.

Just in time for Christmas, the 10th issue of Y! Magazine is out, and this new edition is certainly a first for a lifestyle magazine in Nigeria. The magazine, unveiled exclusively to invitation-only guests at the Annual Y! Magazine Black Ball in Lagos on Sunday, 16 December 2012 has controversial singer and actress Tonto Dikeh on its cover – but, in a bold move, it’s an illustrated cover!

“We are excited to have pushed the envelope,” said its editor-in-chief, Chude Jideonwo. “Y! Magazine launched with a bold artistic presentation which was the Omotola cover, and it’s a tradition we have re-ignited. In the new media space, the place of the magazine as a conversation starter might be undergoing a makeover, but the art and essence of the magazine should remain the same.

“It stands at a unique position as a media event and a cultural catalyst, provoking and driving the popular dialogue with features, conversations, imagines, narrations, even controversy.
